Usher fans, prepare to be taken to higher heights.  Fader asked Usher for details on his next album, and he says "It's gonna be freaking out of here, man... Space and sky, is what it'll be.  When you look up, it's everything you can imagine."

The singer has been broadening his musical horizons, surprising concert-goers when he hit the stage at the South by Southwest music festival with indie rock band the Afghan Whigs and Sudanese-born artist Sinkane.  With the Afghan Whigs behind him, Usher rolled out a gritty version of his "OMG" song, along with other material.

Usher tells Fader that he listens to "all types of music," and he's a "studier."  He's been listening to a bunch of new artists, and they've provided the inspiration for his follow-up to his latest album, Looking for Myself, which was released in June.  There's no word yet on when that new project -- Usher's eighth studio album -- will reach fans.
