How do we know that dance music is one of the dominant forms of music today? Because nearly every major chart-topping artist of the last year has received at least a nomination or two at the International Dance Music Awards, scheduled for March 21 in Miami Beach.
Unsurprisingly, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Usher and Ne-Yo are up for awards, but -- surprise, surprise -- so are Alicia Keys, Emeli Sande and Drake. Rihanna is up for two awards, including Best Solo Artist. Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Kanye West also received nominations.
